Chloé Loric is a French artist based in Manchester, born in 1991.

Chloé Loric developed a practice exploring the concept of process. Interested in all sorts of phenomenons or contexts to interact with, she however focuses on working on the relation of physicality and immateriality more in depth. Often manipulating data to trigger metamorphoses of sound, natural, artificial or living mediums, she disrupts and re-thinks systems, leading her to question concepts of time and cycle. The underlying phases of research, development and transformation within her projects are brought up to the surface without giving themselves entirely, creating a body of work offering different levels of lectures, from experiences to reflection.

In 2015, Chloé Loric obtained a Master degree in Contemporary Fine Art at the EESAB, in Rennes. In 2013 and 2014, she attended the Contemporary Fine Art MA at Salford University as part of an Erasmus exchange. Some of her recent experiences include: taking part in the Art and Science critical forum at Castlefield Gallery (Manchester), ‘Might & Main’ a residency at The Penthouse (Manchester) and a symposium, ‘REACT’ a residency in collaboration with Legroom, Josephine Hepplewhite and Sarah Rowland Hill at the Royal Exchange Theatre (Manchester). She also presented work at the Festival Maintenant (Rennes), performed at Gallerie du 48 (Rennes) on an invitation of INIT. Collectif, exhibited at FRAC Bretagne (Rennes) and Mediacity (UK), assiting the Penthouse (Manchester), volunteering for the CFCCA (Manchester) and participating in Play Harder, a residency series by Rennes|Manchester exchange (Manchester).
